We have come to the end of yet another great year, a year which has allowed us to experiment, explore and grow in terms of technology implementation in our Special Needs Classrooms, across all streams within our school: PID, ASD and SID.
This term we formed part of the ADS Case Study video where we had the opportunity to showcase our creativity and innovation as an Apple Distinguished School.
Our esteemed Apple Teachers ensures that the prepared activities cater to the individual needs of our learners, once again proving how the interactive tool can enhance the learning experience in the classroom. In particular, our learners benefit from the combination of images, videos, animations, and interactive apps that hold their attention and help with regards to attention and focus.
Within our SID classroom, iPads promote collaborative learning in our classrooms. Students can work together on group projects using apps that allow for shared tasks.
Our learners grasp every opportunity to create stories with animation and movement, showing great pride in their work whilst their confidence grows.
In the 2025, we are looking forward to strengthening our skills as Apple Teachers through continuous professional development opportunities in partnership with ISchool Africa, and in doing so, transfer those skills to our Special Needs Learners.
